Introduction


What is the story behind Better Nature?


As four health-conscious food lovers (Chris, Elin, Fabio and Driando), we started Better Nature as we couldn’t believe that more people weren’t eating tempeh - the world’s most natural, gut-friendly source of protein.

Made simply using fermented soybeans and water, tempeh has been enjoyed as a protein staple in Indonesia for almost 400 years. It has a similar protein content to chicken, is packed with gut-friendly prebiotics and fibre, and is incredibly versatile.

We saw tempeh as an obvious and delicious solution to so many of the world’s problems. We wanted everyone to experience the benefits of tempeh, for their own wellbeing and that of the planet and animals.

What is our purpose?


Our purpose is to make eating natural, gut-friendly protein the default, not the alternative, with tempeh!

We want to champion the adoption of tempeh - a natural, fibre-packed and gut-friendly protein - as a staple in everyone’s diet. Starting with centre-of-plate, we have a vision and the ambition to supercharge all of the different ways people consume their protein (think snacks, drinks, and more) with the miracle food that is tempeh.

Stir-fries? Curries? Smoothies? Hummus?! Supercharge them with tempeh.

What is our mission?


Our mission is to get 100 million more people eating tempeh by 2030. We plan to do this by making Better Nature the go-to source of natural, gut-friendly protein in the UK and abroad.
